Sarracenia x "Super Throat"

One of the first Sarracenia I ever owned, and still one of the plants I'm most attached to. I found it as a seedgrown plant at a local plant fair, and it immediately stood out from the rest. This cross perfectly captures the unpredictability and diversity that make seedgrown plants so fascinating, standing apart from the more celebrated and widely recognized hybrids. Back in 2014, the closest American equivalent was 'Deep Throat', featured on the cover of The Savage Gardener. At the time, it was little more than a distant dream for European growers.
