FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How can I place an order for plants or seeds?

Through the website you can submit a request automatically by adding the products to the cart and confirming the request. We will then send you a confirmation with the actual availability, total price, shipping costs, and payment methods. The order is considered valid only after our written confirmation.

Are the products shown on the website always available?

No. The website/catalogue is for informational purposes: some plants or seed batches may run out quickly or be available only at certain times of the year. For this reason, availability is always confirmed by us at the time of the order.

What kind of plants do you sell?

We mainly sell carnivorous plants of the genus Sarracenia and, when available, other genera and selected forms. Availability varies throughout the year, therefore we always recommend asking for confirmation before purchasing.

Do you also sell seeds?

Yes, seeds are available when in stock. Some come from our own production, others from selected and reliable suppliers. For seeds we always indicate the species/hybrid and, when possible, the year of harvest.

Do the seeds always germinate?

No. With seeds it is not possible to guarantee 100% germination. The result depends on several factors: seed freshness, species, sowing technique, temperature, light, and any required stratification. Upon request, we can provide basic sowing guidelines.

Are the plants shipped exactly like in the photos?

Photos are for illustration purposes only. Plants are living material, so they may differ in size, number of pitchers/traps, colour, and vegetative state depending on the season. Before shipping, we always select healthy plants suitable for transport.

How are the plants shipped?

Plants are carefully packed to protect roots and foliage (bare root only) and shipped via Poste Italiane or courier throughout Italy/Europe. Delivery times are communicated when the order is confirmed.

Do you also ship only seeds?

Yes, seeds can also be shipped on their own. In general, shipping costs are lower than for plants because the package is lighter and more compact. Seeds can be shipped worldwide.

How much does shipping cost?

The cost depends on weight, volume, and destination. The exact amount is always communicated before the final order confirmation, so that the customer can decide whether to proceed.

How long does delivery take?

Normally delivery takes 2-5 working days from dispatch. Any delays due to the courier or postal service are beyond our control.

Can the shipment be postponed for weather reasons (too hot/too cold)?

Yes. If weather conditions are not ideal for a specific plant, it is possible to agree on a safer shipping date together.

Can the plants be returned?

The right of withdrawal within 14 days is provided for by law; however, for live plants and perishable products the right of withdrawal does not apply (Italian Consumer Code, Art. 59). Therefore, as a general rule, we kindly ask customers to contact us so that we can find a suitable solution together.

What about seeds?

For seeds as well, once they have been shipped and received - especially if opened or handled - returns are generally not possible.

What should I do if the plant arrives damaged?

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, attaching photos of the parcel and the plant. If the damage is clearly due to transport, we will assess the most appropriate solution.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Payments are made only after the order has been confirmed. We currently accept:

  • Bank transfer
  • PayPal (with manual link sent)
  • Any other methods upon prior agreement

Do you provide cultivation instructions?

Yes. For those who are new to carnivorous plants, we can provide basic guidelines on water, light, substrate, and winter dormancy. By telling us the species and your geographical area, we can give more specific advice.

Is it possible to collect in person?

Yes, if you are near Triuggio (MB), it is possible to arrange a collection by appointment. In this case, please contact us first via WhatsApp.

Do you also sell substrates and accessories?

Yes, when available we also supply substrates suitable for carnivorous plants and some useful cultivation accessories. It is advisable to request them together with the plants in order to optimise shipping.
